The X-Men have returned to the PlayStation in X-MEN: Mutant Academy. This is a 2D fighting game that provides plenty of gameplay and a huge number of moves. Ten characters are available including Wolverine, Cyclops, Magneto, Toad, Mystique, Phoenix, Gambit, and Storm. Each fighter has special moves that range from simple attacks to huge combos. Players must race to fill up a special combo meter to utilize their strongest attacks, though it will take a lot of effort and patience. A Two-Player mode is included, allowing two people to stage their own epic battles between good and evil. The disc is also full of extras, including video clips and artwork that will motivate players to unlock everything. Upon completing the game with each character, players may watch FMV sequences that help to tell the underlying story. X-MEN: Mutant Academy is a great game for any fan of the comic books, movie, or cartoon as it emulates the qualities that made them great while adding interaction through a great fighting engine.

On a day that starts out like any other, an 11-year-old boy's life is changed forever. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End video games from Disney Interactive Studios invite players to "live and die by the sword" as they venture to the worlds of the films and beyond while playing as Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann. The game is inspired by the events and locations of the upcoming film, "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End", and last year's blockbuster film "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest".

Now in its sixth iteration, Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer series has become a permanent fixture in the European game charts. In the face of tough competition from EA Sports' polished FIFA series, PES has taken deep and rewarding gameplay and continued to develop the experience with annual updates. Last year's edition of Pro Evolution Soccer was the first in the series to hit Sony's PlayStation Portable, and despite answering the dreams of fans everywhere who wanted mobile PES action, it wasn't quite as playable or comprehensive as its PlayStation 2 counterpart. Thankfully, this year's version offers needed enhancements, while the master league mode makes its first appearance on the platform.
